Cuban Rocker Deemed Government Threat

Author: Punk rock is alive in well in Cuba and rocking out against government censorship and one of its sons the front singer guitarist of Porno para Ricardo Gorki Águila Carrasco has been charged with “social dangerousness”.
The lead singer Gorki has been detained and charged by Cuban authorities with “peligrosidad social predelictiva” - a predilection to social dangerousness.
According to Human Rights Watch Cuban law defines it as “the special proclivity of a person to commit crimes, demonstrated by conduct that is observed to be in manifest contradiction with the norms of socialist morality.” Signs of dangerousness include “anti-social conduct” or general behavior that “perturbs the order of the community.” If Cuba determines that someone is dangerous, the Criminal Code allows the state to impose “pre-criminal measures,” including surveillance by the National Revolutionary Police and reeducation for periods of one to four years. The state may detain the person during this time.

The trial is sealed. Diplomats and journalists were still waiting outside as the “trial” was moved to 2:00pm and continues to be delayed it may be the last hearing of the day.
